I don’t normally post stuff about my personal life on here because frankly my life is pretty boring. But I recently had an epic experience and I literally can’t contain myself.
If you are a fan of Bauhaus, get ready to be jealous. I got to meet Peter Murphy after a concert in Indianapolis!! I’m still smiling from it :P
Oh and if you’ve never heard of Bauhaus then listen to them dammit!
I have recently delved into the world of hand embroidery patterns and I have to say they are tons of fun to create. I hope you all like embroidery as much as cross stitch because you don’t want to miss out on these! If you haven’t done hand embroidery before, it’s not terribly hard to learn. Hopefully there will be a tutorial here soon, but for now take a look at the new patterns:
I’m making progress on the Mario World map! I don’t get to work on it quite as much because I’m usually working on stuff for my shop, but I’m still determined to finish it. The background is taking soooo long!
As promised (although a bit delayed) I have received and reviewed the CreateForLess online craft store!
By the way there is free shipping over $100 at CreateForLess! They also frequently have specials and some awesome discounts.
They have a WIDE variety of craft supplies but I was especially impressed with their selection of cross stitch materials.
First out of the box were these coasters:
I’m super excited about these because I want to make some coaster patterns but I needed the actual coasters to test them out. They are made out of a hard plastic and seem to be really good quality.
Next are these awesome victorian-esque scissors:
Since I didn’t get the Gingher scissors from Fabric.com I decided to try these. So far they are holding up great! It also comes with a matching sheath :D
The rest of the order was random supplies. There is embroidery floss in the picture but it didn’t come from Creatforless (although they do have floss). I am planning to sell beginner cross stitch kits at some point and I will include the floss I already sell on Etsy, which is why I included them in the pic:
I also bought some cardboard bobbins because I have way too much floss :P
That about does it for the review. It is a great shop with great prices so be sure you check them out!
I recently placed a rather large order with fabric.com and thought this would be the perfect time to do a review on their shop!
I stated in the title that this is an affiliate review. This means that when you click their link, if you decide to buy something from them then I get a small commission. There are several affiliate links on my website and each one is with a site that I use personally. I post their links because I love their products and I think you will too :)
With that said, here is the stuff I recently bought:
They have a RIDICULOUS selection of fabric! The roll on the right is white and antique white Aida fabric! They have great prices on Aida yardage. In fact they always have coupons and there is free shipping over $35!
Here is a closer look at the items:
I will eventually be selling these, but I’m not sure how. I may do a beginner’s kit or sell them individually but I haven’t decided yet.
These are all of the adorable and bright fabrics I found! They are all 100% cotton, I got a 1/2 yard cut of each:
It was super excited seeing all of this come in the mail! Go take a look at their website and I guarantee you will find some amazing things! They also have a lot of cross stitch supplies and sewing accessories like scissors :) One thing I didn’t get, but I still kind of want, are these awesome Ginger Scissors:
By the way I will be posting a review for Create For Less soon, once I get my order from them. If you want to check out their awesome selection there is a link in the sidebar.
I have just finished putting together the pattern for my corset cross stitch!
I listed it in my shop here and on Etsy. This is a difficult pattern to follow, but I have included tips and instructions to help you out. If you are a beginner you should probably work your way up to this because it uses many advance stitches.
