For several years I have been learning various crafts and creating many homemade goodies and patterns. I have been sewing for 15 years and began quilting a couple of years ago. When looking through quilting patterns I realized I could easily “draw” video game characters onto quilts by using the blocks like pixels.
I made some Mario wall hangings and a few other odds and ends. My only complaint was that I couldn’t do larger scenes (unless I wanted a HUGE quilt). I think it was through Google searching that I discovered a huge video game cross stitch community.
It was through this natural progression that I somehow ended up a rabid cross stitching fan! It is an inexpensive, portable, and fairly easy craft to learn.
Sometime after this I found a free cross stitch pattern program and began creating my own patterns. I found many cross stitchers that share my taste in patterns and realized I couldn’t keep these awesome patterns to myself so I began selling them on Etsy.
I later opened the Disorderly Stitches Store here to offer my patterns to people who may not want to go through Etsy. Take a look around and I hope you see things here that you find interesting, unique, or just fucking hilarious.
